About the Role and our Ideal Candidate About the Role and Our Ideal CandidatePurpose of the RoleThe Cleaning Operative plays a key role in delivering a high-quality cleaning service within residential estate blocks where residents contribute through a service charge. The purpose of the role is to maintain clean, safe, and hygienic communal environments that support the wellbeing, comfort, and satisfaction of residents.Service Delivery ExpectationsThe postholder is expected to deliver a reliable and consistent service, maintaining high cleaning standards at all times. This includes working respectfully in residents’ environments, being responsive to service needs, and contributing positively as part of a team to ensure all duties are completed effectively.Key Responsibilities and TasksCleaning communal areas within estate blocks, including corridors, stairwells, lifts, entrances, and shared facilitiesSweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces to agreed standardsManaging waste removal and maintaining bin areas in a clean and orderly conditionCarrying out some external cleaning duties such as pathways or entrance areas where requiredReporting hazards, maintenance issues, or concerns within communal areasSafety of Staff and ResidentsThe role requires adherence to all health and safety procedures to protect both staff and residents.
