About the Role
We are looking for a KSB Pensions Business Support Assistant to join the Kent Pension Fund team. This is a new role that we have created in response to the restructuring of responsibilities within our service. The role provides an exciting opportunity in supporting business operations and helping senior managers and the wider team focus on delivering strategic priorities. You’ll be at the centre of the team’s day-to-day activity, ensuring meetings, communications, and administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently. The vacancy is for a full-time (37 hours a week), 12 month secondment (for internal KCC candidates) or a 12 month Fixed Term Contract for external candidates. What You’ll Be Doing
This is an entry-level role, where support and guidance will be given. You’ll be part of our Governance & Projects Team at Kent Pension Fund, helping to manage the pensions of thousands of scheme members across Kent. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Managing digital diaries, scheduling meetings, and resolving clashes.
- Using systems to arrange room bookings, desk arrangements, travel, and accommodation.
- Preparing and formatting presentations.
- Maintaining accurate digital records and handling confidential information appropriately
- Supporting document management, including digital filing and archiving
- Assisting with communication activities, including distributing emails and uploading documents to internal systems
- Ordering stationery and equipment in line with corporate procedures
- Providing administrative support to projects and programmes, including tracking actions and gathering information
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a candidate that is :
- Organised and has excellent attention to detail
- A clear communicator and customer focused
- Flexible and team-oriented
- Confident with IT (especially Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Qualified to GCSE Level 4 (Grade C) in Maths and English (or equivalent)
