Role Responsibility

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual with excellent administrative and coordination skills to join the Public Health Research team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a growing portfolio of public health research and service improvement activity across Kent and Medway. Working closely with Public Health colleagues, NHS partners, GP practices and other stakeholders, you will provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of research projects and programmes.
You will be responsible for coordinating meetings and events, maintaining research records and governance documentation, supporting reporting processes and monitoring project activity. The role will involve working across both Kent County Council and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board, requiring the ability to build effective working relationships and coordinate activity across organisations.
The postholder will take a proactive role in supporting research governance processes, tracking project milestones, maintaining accurate records and ensuring reporting requirements and deadlines are met. You will be expected to use your initiative to manage competing priorities, identify and resolve administrative issues and support the continuous improvement of research systems and processes.
We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative, manage competing priorities and respond positively to changing demands. You will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and experience of maintaining accurate systems and records. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and produce reports, correspondence and meeting documentation is essential.
Experience of supporting research, programme management, healthcare or public health services would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
This role does not qualify for visa sponsorship. Secondments will be considered.
