Join Our Team of Professional Business Services Officers
Are you a highly motivated individual, who can take a proactive role in the day-to-day administrative support for Growth and Communities? We are looking for a self-starter with strong organisational skills and confidence with financial processes. As part of a modern, centralised support function, you'll play a vital role in ensuring services run smoothly, supporting colleagues, managers and teams while contributing to continuous improvement and efficient ways of working.
This full-time role provides the opportunity of hybrid working, with office attendance as required, primarily at Sessions House, Maidstone, with other offices in Kings Hill and Ashford. The role sits within Growth, Environment & Transport (Growth & Communities) and reports to the Business Services Manager, Innovation & Business Intelligence.
The role involves:
Acting as a first point of contact.
Managing incoming correspondence and ensuring enquiries are resolved or directed appropriately.
Undertaking accurate data input, record management and document administration activities.
Providing financial support, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices, monitoring expenditure and supporting budget management.
Assisting with recruitment activity, onboarding processes and HR administration.
Supporting meetings, events and workshops, including arranging logistics, preparing agendas and taking notes where required.
Helping maintain efficient office systems and processes to support service delivery.
Contributing to service improvement initiatives and helping identify opportunities to enhance business processes.
