Role Responsibility
An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, committed Business Support Officer to join the Children, Young People and Education Provision Planning team in North Kent.
The post-holder will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Assistant Director Education (North Kent) and the Area Schools Organisation Officer, to assist in the smooth running of the service and its day to day functioning. We are looking for someone who possesses excellent IT, organisational and problem-solving skills. You will need to have the ability to handle complex diary management and devise and oversee a range of administrative systems on behalf of the Assistant Director.
Applicants will also need to be extremely organised and have excellent time management skills with the ability to take accurate and timely minutes of meetings.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work under their own initiative and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer care skills with a professional and confident telephone manner, whilst working under pressured timeframes. You may have access to sensitive information so should have a strong understanding of the need for confidentiality at all times.

We are currently working flexibly at this time and the contractual base will be in Worrall House, West Malling.
The post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
