Are you looking for an analytics role in the public sector where people are at the heart of everything we do? Are you an analyst with a passion for transforming data into impactful insights? This is an exciting opportunity for a highly-skilled, proactive individual with strong analytical skills looking for their next challenge to join our team within the council’s Analytics service.
The Analytics service is made up of specialists from varied backgrounds who specialise in a wide range of analytical approaches and methods with the overall aim of ensuring decisions are grounded in evidence. Working as part of the multi-disciplinary Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively alongside experts in data analysis, research and evaluation. Our team includes skilled data analysts, statisticians, GIS analysts, survey developers, qualitative researchers, evaluation professionals, and continuous improvement specialists.
As an Analyst Manager, you will deliver analytical projects that provide actionable insight from a wide range of services to support evidence-based decision-making at Kent County Council. You will play a crucial role in designing and conducting analyses, exploring and interpreting data, and communicating complex analyses in a visually appealing and understandable manner.
We are looking for a curious individual with strong analytical and research skills. You will display a range of experience and knowledge of data analysis and visualisation. You will be able to manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously and collaborate and build relationships across teams and services.
We provide a comprehensive training offer and encourage a supportive learning environment to share knowledge between team members. The main tools we use in the team are Excel, Power BI and R. You will need to be experienced in using analytical software, but if you haven’t used all these specific tools, we will provide support with personal development to learn these tools as required.
Kent County Council is committed to a hybrid working model with a flexible working offer. Please note that you will be expected to work from our Maidstone office one day per week.
As an employee of Kent County Council, you will receive training suitable to the role and to support your development, along with excellent benefits, including 30 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays and a concessionary day at Christmas, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and flexible working.
