Help keep vital family services running smoothly and create a welcoming space for local families.

As a Family Hub Business Support Officer, you’ll provide the administrative and operational support that helps our Family Hub services run effectively. Your work will help ensure families receive the support they need in a welcoming and well-organised environment.

Working Style:

You’ll be based in the Borough 5 days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you’re working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you’ll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents’ lives.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll provide essential administrative support to managers and practitioners within the Family Hub and Early Help services.

A key part of the role will involve welcoming families and professionals into the Hub, acting as a professional first point of contact and ensuring visitors feel supported and comfortable.

You’ll coordinate the day-to-day organisation of the Hub, including managing room bookings, maintaining service information and helping ensure the space remains organised, accessible and welcoming.

You’ll also support the service through accurate data management. This includes processing referrals, maintaining databases and ensuring records are kept up to date to support service monitoring, reporting and Ofsted requirements.

Alongside this, you’ll assist with the operational running of the Hub, helping coordinate IT needs, liaising with contractors for building maintenance and supporting the organisation of meetings and events.

By resolving administrative issues quickly and keeping systems running efficiently, you’ll help ensure the service remains responsive to the needs of families across the borough.

You’ll be a friendly and professional communicator who is comfortable interacting with families, colleagues and partner organisations.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, flexible and enjoys working as part of a team. A background in children’s services, the NHS or the voluntary sector would be beneficial, but most important is your commitment to providing high-quality support to families and colleagues.
