About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Contracts Officer to join the Adults Joint Commissioning & Contracts Team. This role is responsible for supporting the operational delivery of contract management and procurement across a portfolio of commissioned services, ensuring contracts are effectively managed, compliant with legislation and governance requirements, and deliver value for money.
Working closely with Commissioners, providers, and internal stakeholders, the postholder will support procurement activity, contract monitoring, performance management, and service improvement, with a strong focus on quality assurance, risk management, governance, and financial oversight. The role also provides dedicated administrative and performance support for the Community Equipment contract, helping to ensure efficient service delivery, robust data management, and continuous improvement across the equipment pathway.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
The Senior Contracts Officer will work within the Adults Joint Commissioning & Contracts Team; a dynamic and fast paced team committed to commissioning high-quality services that deliver positive outcomes for residents. The team works collaboratively with commissioners, providers, and partners to ensure services are safe, effective, and offer value for money, while remaining responsive to changing needs and priorities.

About You
This role would suit someone who brings a practical, organised, and collaborative approach to contract management and procurement. You might be someone who:
1. Has experience supporting contract management and/or procurement activity, with an understanding of governance, compliance, and value for money principles
2. Is comfortable working with performance, financial, and contract data, using this information to support monitoring, reporting, and improvement
3. Communicates clearly and confidently with a range of people, including providers, commissioners, and internal stakeholders
4. Is organised and methodical, able to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, and follow processes through to completion
5. Takes a proactive and solution focused approach, identifying risks and opportunities and escalating issues appropriately
6. Enjoys working as part of a fast paced, collaborative team, with an interest in learning, development, and contributing to positive outcomes for residents
