Parenting Programmes Coordinator (Early Years)
London Borough of Hillingdon
About the role
At Hillingdon, we recognise that parents are their child's first and most important educators. The conversations they have, the encouragement they give and the experiences they create at home play a vital role in shaping a child's future.
We're looking for a Parenting Programmes Coordinator to join us on a fixed-term contract until March 2029, helping to shape and deliver parenting support that gives children the best possible start in life. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver parenting support across the borough, working directly with families and professionals to improve outcomes for young children. You'll play a key role in helping parents build confidence, develop new skills and create positive home learning experiences that support children's development and readiness for school.
By strengthening parenting support and promoting effective Home Learning Environments, you'll contribute towards our ambition of ensuring more children achieve a Good Level of Development by age five.
This is not a role that's solely focused on delivering programmes. We need someone who can engage families, build partnerships, influence practice and champion the importance of parenting support across Hillingdon.

- Deliver evidence-based parenting programmes and targeted interventions for families.
- Develop and coordinate a borough-wide parenting offer in partnership with Family Hubs, schools, early years providers and community organisations.
- Promote parenting support through outreach, social media and local networks.
- Engage families who may be less likely to access support, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds and families of children with SEND.
- Support and develop peer-led parent support groups.
- Coach, train and support practitioners delivering parenting programmes.
- Build strong partnerships across education, health, early years and community services.
- Monitor participation, outcomes and feedback to evaluate programme effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Deputise for the Parenting and Home Learning Environment Manager when required.
About You

You are:
- Passionate about early childhood development and helping families thrive.
- An excellent communicator who can build trust and engage a wide range of audiences.
- Skilled at partnership working, bringing people together to achieve positive outcomes.
