About the role

Learn Hillingdon Adult Community Education is looking for enthusiastic and caring Casual Learning Support Assistants to support learners across a range of adult education programmes. You will play a vital role in helping learners access learning, build confidence and achieve their goals in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
You Will
- Provide one-to-one and group support to learners in classes and community settings.
- Help create an inclusive learning environment where all learners can thrive.
- Support learners with their personal, social and educational development.
- Work closely with tutors to identify and meet individual learner needs.
- Assist with learner reviews, assessments and record keeping.
- Support educational visits, enrichment activities and occasional exam invigilation.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times.
You are patient, approachable and committed to helping adults overcome barriers to learning.
You will have:
- Experience working in education, health, social care or a similar support role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- An understanding of supporting learners with a range of needs, including learners with disabilities and learning difficulties.
- A commitment to safeguarding and delivering excellent customer service.
