  • About the role

  • Hillingdon Council is recruiting Home Finder Officers to support the delivery of private rented sector (PRS) supply and housing solutions. This is a key role at the heart of the housing system - helping residents access accommodation and increasing housing supply through landlord engagement. You will play an important role in preventing homelessness, reducing reliance on temporary accommodation and improving outcomes for residents.

    About the opportunity
    You will work as part of the Home Finder team to secure housing and support residents into suitable accommodation.

    You will:
    • Source and secure PRS properties for residents
    • Build and manage relationships with landlords, agents and providers
    • Support prevention, relief and move-on from temporary accommodation
    • Negotiate terms and secure cost-effective housing solutions
    • Inspect and assess properties to ensure suitability and compliance
    • Promote the benefits of working with the Council to landlords
    • Manage a pipeline of supply and deliver against procurement targets
    This is a fast-paced, outward-facing role requiring strong communication, negotiation skills and the ability to deliver results in a challenging housing market.
