  • About the role

  • As part of the Council's commitment to providing high-quality and efficient services, we are looking to recruit someone who is keen to learn and develop their business administration skills and knowledge within the field of health and safety.

    This role will support all Council services, with the aim of helping to minimise the Council’s exposure to health and safety risks.

    As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will:

    • Provide support to the Chief Executive Office in the provision of an effective and efficient Health & Safety service for the London Borough of Hillingdon.
    • Assist the Council’s Health & Safety Manager and Advisors in providing high-quality, competent advice on all aspects of health and safety relating to Council employees and others who may be affected by Council activities.
    • Support the team by acting as a liaison between the Council’s various departments, services, employees and the Health & Safety team.
    • Support the delivery of the Council’s health surveillance programme for staff.
    • Support the development and delivery of first aid training and the wider Health & Safety training programme.
    • Assist in producing statistical information and analysis for regular reports to senior management.

    The successful applicant will have:

    Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint would be beneficial.
