  • About the role

  • Hillingdon Council is recruiting Allocations Officers to support the delivery of our housing register and allocations service.
    This is a key role at the heart of the housing system - ensuring residents are assessed fairly and homes are allocated efficiently.
    You will play an important role in improving access to housing and delivering positive outcomes for residents.

    About the opportunity

    You will manage a caseload and support the end-to-end allocations process, working closely with residents, colleagues and partners.

    You will:
    • Assess housing applications and determine eligibility and banding
    • Manage and maintain cases on the housing register
    • Make allocations and nominations to available accommodation
    • Support the delivery of the Choice Based Lettings scheme
    • Provide clear advice to residents on their housing options
    • Ensure decisions are accurate, timely and compliant with policy
    • Support reduction in void periods and improve system flow

    This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
