  • About the role

  • Hillingdon Council is recruiting Accommodation Officers to support the delivery of temporary accommodation (TA) and private rented sector (PRS) services. This is a key operational role at the heart of the housing system - ensuring residents are placed in safe, suitable accommodation and that housing supply is managed effectively.

    About the opportunity
    You will play an important role in improving outcomes for residents and supporting the efficient use of accommodation. You will manage accommodation placements and support the day-to-day management of TA and PRS provision.
    You will:
    • Arrange and manage placements into TA and PRS accommodation
    • Ensure properties meet required standards and compliance
    • Carry out inspections and monitor housing conditions
    • Support the management of voids, re-lets and move-on activity
    • Work with landlords, agents and providers to maintain supply
    • Manage tenancy and licence arrangements and resolve housing issues
    • Provide advice and support to residents to sustain accommodation
    This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
