We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced social worker to join our ambitious and supportive Quality Assurance Team as an Audit Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of Children's Social Care improvement, helping us understand the experiences of children and families, identify strengths and areas for development and support better practice across services.

About the team

Our Quality Assurance Team is small, supportive and highly influential.

Through audits, learning reviews, Practice Week activity, moderation and governance processes, we provide challenge, support learning within the wider Service and help leaders understand the impact of services on children and young people.

We are passionate about quality social work practice and are committed to creating a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

About You

 

As an Audit Officer, you will undertake a range of auditing and quality assurance activities designed to evaluate and improve practice across Children's Social Care. You will play an important role in translating audit findings into meaningful learning. You will work closely with practitioners, managers and senior leaders to identify learning, share good practice and support improvement.

 

You will:

 

Complete audits and re-audits across Children's Social Care.

 

Analyse practice and identify key themes and areas for learning.

 

Support managers and practitioners to understand and respond to audit findings and learning themes.

 

Contribute to Practice Week, moderation and learning activities.

 

Support the development of training and workforce development activity.

Provide constructive challenge and promote reflective practice.

 

Help ensure that improvements are translated into better experiences and outcomes for children.

 

About You

 

We are looking for someone who:

Is a qualified and registered social worker.

Has experience of working with children, young people and families.

Can analyse practice and communicate findings clearly.

Is curious, reflective and committed to learning.

Has the confidence to provide constructive challenge, support reflective practice and influence improvement.

Wants to contribute to a service that is ambitious about achieving excellence.
