Advanced Practitioner – 16+ Team – Grade 9

Salary: £54,267 - £58,461 per annum

Team: 16+ Team

Working alongside the Team Manager, you will manage a complex caseload, support and mentor colleagues, champion high-quality safeguarding practice, and contribute to service improvement and development.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
Supervise, coach and mentor Social Workers, ASYEs and students.
Chair complex meetings and contribute to safeguarding decision-making.
Prepare high-quality reports for Court and Child Protection Conferences.
Support practice development and service improvement.
Build effective partnerships with children, families and partner agencies.
Deputise for the Team Manager when required.

About You

You will have:

A recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
Significant experience in statutory Children's Social Care.
Strong safeguarding, child protection and court experience.
Excellent assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.
Experience of supervising or mentoring others.
Good knowledge of children's legislation and safeguarding practice.
