About us

The Health and Safety Team’s focus is delivery of high quality services to our clients. A combination of audit, compliance monitoring, support, investigations and training are provided to clients to enable them to fulfil their statutory duties.

This post is within our Traded Team which services predominantly education sector clients. To enable our clients to establish positive health and safety cultures within their establishments we deliver a high standard of service to them. We offer schools strategic initiatives; provide professional advice and guidance to principals, headteachers, directors, trustees, governors, senior managers and staff, as well as providing a comprehensive range of training.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional to play a key role in delivering this work as part of a small team working with academies, colleges and schools. Experience of working within the education sector, whilst not essential, would be advantageous.

The role

The role involves a number of tasks including supporting schools and other similar educational premises to manage health and safety, acting as lead auditor within schools, maintaining systems, policies and procedures, assessing CDM arrangements, undertaking accident and incident investigations and leading with relevant agencies, developing and providing training, and involvement in the first line approval of educational visits.

You

You must be a highly motivated, experienced and creative health and safety professional who can establish credibility at a senior level, build effective working relationships and motivate others. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to meet challenging deadlines, deliver results and show a creative flare in providing solutions. As the service is traded you will also have an aptitude for marketing the range of services to clients.

You will hold at least CertIOSH membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health & a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (applications may be considered from TechIOSH members who are currently working towards their Diploma or equivalent).

The closing date for the receipt of applications is 17/04/2026, however interest in this job may be high and we therefore reserve the right to close the vacancy early.
