This is more than an admin role. You’ll be leading from the front, ensuring our centres run smoothly while supporting learners to access life-changing opportunities.

Who we are

Havering Adult College offers a wide range of courses across a variety of subjects and venues throughout the Borough to learners aged 19+. We have a strong commitment to Equality and Diversity, welcoming learners of all abilities and backgrounds. Our excellent commitment to safeguarding has been recognised by Ofsted at our last two inspections.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and motivating a team of Centre Support Advisors across multiple sites
  • Managing enrolment, learner enquiries, and front-line services
  • Supporting marketing activities and promoting course offerings
  • Ensuring centres are safe, compliant, and running efficiently
  • Working closely with teaching staff and managers to deliver a seamless experience
  • Overseeing key processes including fees, data, and reporting

You’ll play a central role in creating a welcoming, professional environment for every learner.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of Equality and Diversity and have a clear appreciation of their responsibilities under Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults regulations.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and professional team and will be well supported by our experienced management team. In time, you may be required to provide mentoring support to staff, contributing to our ongoing commitment to quality improvement.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • A flexible mindset and willingness to work evenings/weekends
  • GCSE Grade 9–5 (or equivalent) in English and maths

Experience in education is a bonus but not essential.

Why join us?

  • Make a real difference in your community

  • Be part of an organisation committed to learning and development
  • Gain valuable leadership experience in an education setting
