London Borough of Harrow Council is looking for a Day Service Officer to work at Milmans NRC, helping to meet the individual needs and aspirations of people with Dementia /older people.

The post holder will be responsible for facilitating day service activities for people with Dementia /older people. This includes meeting their physical, behavioural and emotional needs whilst respecting their rights and choices as individuals. In addition, the post holder will research and organise appropriate community integration whilst ensuring adherence to health and safety responsibilities, participating in risk assessments for community activities (including equipment), transport, and access/egress compliant with DDA.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Knowledge of current legislation
An understanding of safeguarding procedures
Passionate about working with people living with dementia and older people.
Physical ability to complete moving and handling duties
NVQ level 3 or equivalent
GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
