
Major Works and Dispute Resolution Officer
Harlow District Council
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (banking 30 minutes per week to be used towards the shut down between Christmas and the New Year)
We are looking for a Major Works & Dispute Resolution Officer to work within the Home Ownership team to have responsibility and accountability for carrying out all statutory consultation in relation to works carried out to our flat blocks. You will aid maximising the recovery of major works costs by invoicing leaseholders accurately and resolving disputes quickly, in accordance with the leases, the Council’s agreed policies and working practices. You will be required to deliver a first class customer focused service, supporting the Home Ownership team in all its leasehold interests.
You will need to:
- Have knowledge of the statutory consultation process in relation to works carried out to flat blocks.
- Be able to understand new legislation and contribute to making improvements to the service.
- Be able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Create successful relationships with customers and across the wider Council
