Working hours: 30 per week (banking 24 minutes per week towards the shut down between Christmas and New Year)

The Executive Office are seeking a 30 hours per week Executive Officer to join the team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude who enjoys working in a small but busy and successful team.

This role involves providing high quality executive support for the Assistant Directors to enable them to carry out their senior and statutory roles as effectively as possible.

Working together as a member of the Executive Support Team, you will ensure that colleagues are fully supported during peaks and troughs in workload, and that best practice is developed and shared. You will ensure standards are implemented to ensure consistency of approach across directorates.

The role also involves providing support for Members as required, and to be responsible for administering the complaints, enquiries and casework procedures, involving the Member of Parliament and the Councillors in their dealings with the electorate.

You must have an NVQ Level 4 in Administration or equivalent, and experience in providing secretarial support to senior management. You will be organised, computer literate and able to deal with a wide range of people at all levels. You will have the ability to operate in a politically sensitive environment and understand the need for confidentiality.
