Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (banking 30 minutes per week towards the shut down between Christmas and New Year)

Harlow Council is recruiting a Finance and Admin Officer to support the IT & Digital Services and Project Management Office (PMO) teams. This is a varied role in a dynamic service area, providing essential support to help keep systems, processes, and projects running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for processing purchase orders, invoices, and subscriptions, coordinating meetings and events, and handling day-to-day admin tasks. The role also includes supporting Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, maintaining records, and helping triage service requests to the right teams.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and confident working with colleagues across different departments. If you enjoy working in a busy environment and want to be part of a team that plays a key role in delivering digital services across the Council, we’d like to hear from you.

The successful applicant will need to hold 4 GCSE’s including English and Maths (Grade A-C or minimum Level 4) and have work experience in a similar IT role, or experience in a role heavily dependent on ICT skills. You will also have experience of desktop and applications supporting corporate systems.
