About the Role
The Business Support Officer role at Pendarren is central to the smooth and effective running of the Centre. You will provide vital administrative and financial support to the Head of Centre and wider management team, ensuring our operations run seamlessly. From managing bookings and handling enquiries to processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records, your contribution will help the Centre deliver the highest standard of service to our visitors.
Working closely with instructors, domestic staff, and colleagues across our London based support functions, you’ll act as a key link between teams—helping information flow efficiently and supporting the Centre’s commitment to an excellent guest experience. Your work will underpin the day to day running of the Centre and enable others to focus on delivering memorable and meaningful experiences for the children and young people we serve.
About the Team
Our team at Pendarren is a dynamic group dedicated to providing an amazing experience to the children and young people for some of whom, their time with us will be their first experiences of life outside of an inner-city environment. We emphasise teamwork, attention to detail, and effective communication and as one of two Business Support Officers at the Centre, together you will play a vital role in supporting the Centre’s operations. The Business Support team are the hub of the Centre providing support to staff and customers alike. With an ability to adapt to evolving challenges and find innovative solutions, we enable others in the team to focus on ensuring our children and young people have the best possible experience during their time with us.
About You
We’re looking for a proactive, organised and confident administrator who takes pride in delivering high quality work. You will be educated to at least GCSE level (or equivalent) and bring strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills to the role. With experience in an office or administrative environment, you’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities and using your initiative to keep tasks moving.
Experience working in a similar setting would be highly beneficial, helping you to quickly understand the rhythm of the Centre and adapt confidently to its varied daily demands. You’ll be proficient with Microsoft Office and confident working with financial or management information systems. A careful and discreet approach to handling sensitive information is essential, as is the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, visitors and external partners. With a strong customer focused approach and the ability to adapt in a busy environment, you will help ensure that our customers and staff receive responsive, professional and friendly support at all times.
