Salary: Scale 5, Spinal point 12-15 (£29,542-£31,015)

Hours of work: Part Time (13.75 hours per week) considered – Term Time Only

Contract Term: Permanent

After School Club

Weston Park is a diverse multi-cultural primary school, situated in Crouch End, where our pupils speak up to 29 different languages. We aim to deliver a rich and creative curriculum, and we are keen for our pupils to become curious, imaginative, independent and resilient learners.

We are looking for a dedicated and friendly After School Club Leader, who can model high standards to pupils and other staff and who is passionate about ensuring that all children have access to enriching provision.

We are looking for an After School Club Leader who:

• Is a strong team player who can lead and support staff effectively, ensuring the safe,
smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the After School Club.
• Is calm, fair, kind and consistent, with the confidence to promote positive behaviour and
respectful relationships in line with school policies.
• Has high expectations of children’s behaviour, independence and wellbeing, and can
create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for children from Nursery to Year 6.
• Can adapt activities and provide inclusive, age-appropriate play and recreational opportunities that enable all children to participate, including those with additional needs.
• Can prepare and organise resources effectively, ensuring activities are well planned, appropriately risk assessed and delivered safely.
• Is able to respond confidently and appropriately to children’s medical, personal care and wellbeing needs, following school procedures and safeguarding requirements.
• Has excellent communication skills and can maintain positive, professional relationships with parents, carers, teachers and colleagues, sharing relevant information clearly and appropriately.
• Is able to oversee the preparation and serving of a daily hot meal, taking account of allergies, dietary requirements and food preferences.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding, health and safety, appropriate staff-to child ratios and effective supervision across indoor, outdoor and transition periods.
• Is confident in leading staff, allocating responsibilities and ensuring adequate supervision is maintained throughout each session.
