We have a fantastic opportunity for 3 Field Service Engineers to join our Parking Operations Team. We are looking for three proactive and skilled individuals focusing on the practical, hands-on delivery of essential street infrastructure services. You will be the face of our operations on the street, ensuring our borough’s infrastructure is safe, functional, and well-maintained. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you. We have a fantastic opportunity for 3 Field Service Engineers within our Parking Operations team.

As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for full maintenance of cycle hangars across the borough both on street and on estates, including complex relocations and rebuilds following traffic incidents. Through this you will ensure faults or security issues are dealt with swiftly and proactive steps are taken to ensure the service is delivered efficiently and to a high standard at all times achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for conducting site assessments for new cycle hangar locations, and monthly air quality monitoring via diffusion tube changes, contributing directly to our sustainable community strategies. You will also manage parking infrastructure by performing reactive and routine maintenance on signs, lines and posts across the borough ensuring that they are enforceable in line with legislative requirements.

You will be responsible for managing your own work streams, ensuring that all reactive maintenance tasks are carried out in line with procedures and KPI requirements. You will also be responsible for the supervision of contractors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate must be able to work well in a high pressure and fast paced environment. You must have a flexible approach to your work whilst being able to plan and prioritise workloads efficiently and effectively to ensure that tight deadlines are met. In this role it is crucial for you to maintain high levels of service standards at all times.

You must have experience in the use of a variety of IT packages, specifically Google suite, with experience of google forms and digital maps an advantage. You are also required to have a driving licence with less than 6 points and ideally be willing to ride an e-bike to carry out tasks.

You will take responsibility for continually improving our service performance to meet the varying demands of our customers, ensuring we get it right the first time.
