This is a part time role at 29.60 hours per week.
About the team:
The Community Safety team sits within the Leisure and Communities service and works closely with a range of internal and external partners. The team plays a key role in tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting vulnerable residents, and delivering proactive prevention and enforcement activity across the borough.
You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team environment, with a strong emphasis on partnership working, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality services to residents.
This role will report to the Community Safety Officer.
About you:
You will have strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records. You will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, with a clear understanding of how to deliver effective outcomes in a partnership environment.
Experience of ASB case management or a similar regulatory or community safety role would be advantageous, alongside a working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.
You will also demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service, treating residents with professionalism, empathy and respect.
Brief outline of the job purpose and main tasks:
Investigate, triage and manage a caseload of anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases, focusing on early intervention, risk assessment, action planning and resolution.
Manage low to medium risk cases, escalating complex or high-risk cases appropriately.
Maintain regular communication with victims, ensuring expectations are managed and support is provided.
Support multi-agency processes, including CHaRMM and JAG, by preparing case summaries, maintaining records and tracking actions.
Coordinate and support ASB case reviews, including arranging meetings, issuing documentation and recording outcomes.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records on systems such as ECINS and SharePoint, ensuring files are audit-ready.
Work closely with partners including Housing, Police, Environmental Health and other agencies to deliver coordinated responses.
Support delivery of prevention initiatives and community safety campaigns, such as ASB Awareness Week.
Administer enforcement processes, including Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs), Community Protection Notices (CPNs) and Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs).
Assist with preparation of enforcement action, including supporting court processes where required.
Shortlisting criteria:
Essential:
Experience of maintaining accurate administrative records and case files
Experience of producing clear and timely reports
Understanding of anti-social behaviour legislation and relevant frameworks (including the Crime and Disorder Act 1998)
Experience of working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with a range of individuals, including vulnerable residents

Desirable:
Experience of ASB case management or investigation
Experience of taking statements or supporting enforcement action
Experience of working with vulnerable individuals or communities
Knowledge of local community safety issues and partner agencies
