We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Learning and Development Officer to shape and coordinate our learning, development and wellbeing offer.
Working as part of our Policy and Performance team, you’ll play a key role in enhancing the employee experience, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring our workforce has the skills and support needed to succeed.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact during a period of significant change for local government.
In this role, you will:
coordinate learning and development activities across the organisation
organise internal surveys and consultation activities
help deliver initiatives that promote our values and behaviours
oversee mandatory training compliance
maintain our learning management system and monitor training outcomes
build strong relationships with colleagues and external training providers
About you
You will be a highly organised, pro-active individual who can manage a high workload and conflicting priorities. You will have:
strong problem solving and evaluation skills
excellent communication and organisational skills
experience of analysing data and using feedback to improve services
a learning and development qualification or relevant experience
experience of working in local government
