This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team of staff responsible for the cleanliness and general maintenance of a wide range of Housing Estates in Royal Borough of Greenwich. Working in partnership with Tenancy, Repairs & Investment, resident groups and other stakeholders, this is a challenging yet rewarding position.

 

We are looking to recruit people who take pride in their work and want to help the Royal Borough of Greenwich meet its commitment to providing quality services to enhance our estates. That's why we're recruiting permanent Caretaking Team Leaders, and we're particularly interested in applications from people who have experience doing this sort of work. 

 

These posts are for people who like working outdoors and are prepared to work flexibly in Caretaking Service. You will also be required to assist our Tenancy Enforcement team in gathering evidence in connection with enviro-crimes. 

 

Candidates will need to show that they can work safely, and treat customers and staff properly, always being aware of people's different needs and expectations.  The successful applicants will be responsible to the Caretaking Supervisors for: monitoring caretaking staff, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards and undertaking cleansing duties. 

 

Candidates must be over 18 years old with the ability to be trained to use associated tools, mechanical aids and equipment in a safe manner. The working hours are 35 hours, ranging from 7:30am to 3:30pm.
