Job Introduction

Biodiversity Officer 

Grade: PO2 - Reports to: Principal Sustainability Officer 

3 year Fixed-Term contract

Following the implementation of the Transport/Sustainability reorganisation. 

The person recruited to this post will manage Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Biodiversity/Ecological response working closely with RBG Planning and Policy departments and Parks and Open spaces. The successful candidate will also plan and manage the Biodiversity delivery programme. 

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent with relevant work experience. In addition you will need to demonstrate: 

· Proven experience of the formulation, development and delivery of overarching/holistic Biodiversity strategies and programmes 

· Experience of partnership working with public agencies, private and community sectors. 

· Experience of managing ecological borough responses 

· Ability to work with and lead and manage internal and external teams
