About the role
As a Social Worker in Greenwich, you will:
• Build meaningful relationships with children, young people and families.
• Undertake high-quality assessments and develop child-centred plans that lead to positive change.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
• Work alongside families to identify strengths, reduce risks and improve outcomes.
• Coordinate multi-agency support as a lead professional.
• Ensure children's voices, wishes and experiences are central to all assessment, planning and decision making.
• Support children to achieve permanence and stability without unnecessary delay.
• Work effectively with wider family networks, foster carers, special guardians and adopters.
• Prepare high-quality reports and represent the local authority in legal and statutory processes where required.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, reflection and professional development.
What we're looking for
You will be:
• A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Have completed your ASYE programme.
• Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
• Skilled in building strong relationships and engaging children and families in meaningful change.
• Committed to strengths-based, anti-discriminatory and evidence-informed practice.
• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.• Confident in assessment, analysis, planning and decision making.
• Committed to your own professional development and reflective practice
