The Role
An exciting development opportunity within our Neighbourhood Housing Team.
Are you an experienced housing professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a motivated and capable colleague to join us as a Neighbourhood Team Leader and help us deliver excellent services for our tenants, leaseholders and communities.

You may already be guiding colleagues, leading complex cases or stepping up when needed. Formal management experience is not essential; what matters most is your potential, commitment and enthusiasm for helping people and improving services.
As Neighbourhood Team Leader, you will:
Provide day-to-day support, supervision and guidance to Housing Officers.
Oversee complex ASB, tenancy and estate management cases.
Help deliver a responsive, high-quality and customer-focused neighbourhood service.
Contribute to performance management and continuous service improvement.
Work with colleagues and partners to achieve positive outcomes for residents and communities.
We are committed to investing in your development. The successful candidate will be required to complete the CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing Management within 2 years of appointment, in line with the expectations set out in the Regulator of Social Housing’s Consumer Standards and the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023, supporting our commitment to professionalism, competence and high standards of service delivery.
About you
You will be able to demonstrate:
Experience in a housing or neighbourhood management environment for a social landlord
Strong knowledge of tenancy and estate management, including complex or sensitive casework.
The ability to support, guide and positively influence colleagues, with the potential to develop as a manager.
Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with residents, colleagues and partners.
A customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality housing services.
The willingness and ability to complete the CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing Management within two years of appointment.

Local Government Reorganisation
In April 2028 Local government in Kent is moving to a new unitary council structure. If you join us now, you will be employed by Gravesham Borough Council in the first instance, but staff are expected to transfer to the new organisation under TUPE arrangements in April 2028. This means your continuity of employment and existing terms and conditions will be protected.
