The role
The postholder will provide administrative support to a range of services and projects across the Communities and Inclusive Growth Directorate, helping to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of work.
The role will support projects that benefit local communities, including employment and skills, health and wellbeing, arts and culture, and inclusive economic growth. This includes assisting initiatives that support residents, local businesses and the visitor economy.
To provide an effective, customer friendly administrative support function for a diverse range of projects and activities, supporting stakeholder engagement, records management, arranging meetings, creating agendas, writing minutes where required, and circulating notes and action points.
Assist with financial administration, such as raising orders for goods and services; raising invoices and ensuring that all invoices are paid on time; and monitoring payments on the purchase order system.
Assist with the update of some of the directorate’s external and internal websites and platforms, such as Everyday Active, Go Vocal, Resilience Direct and Gravesham 2040.
Collect information for Freedom of Information requests (FOI’s) within the directorate, enquires and complaints plus making sure the requirements for ensuring General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) are followed.
Support the directorate’s event programme as required, including assisting with pre- event preparation and on the day provide support if required by the event co-ordinator.
Any other assistant/administrative duties, consistent with the above duties of the post.
