The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Committee Services Team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the Council's decision-making processes. Working closely with the Committee Services Manager, the successful candidate will provide vital support in the efficient and effective strategic and day to day management and delivery of the Committee Services function.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
To assist the Committee Services Manager and to support and cover for the Committee Services Team.
To attend personally and clerk such meetings as allocated, including agenda preparation, the taking of notes and the
compilation of minutes (predominantly in the evening, starting from 7pm).
Working with the IT and Facilities teams to ensure the smooth running of the Council’s live streaming facilities.
To provide support to Members and the Mayoralty.

About you

Essential qualifications/experience you will have:
Educated to a good standard.
Proficient note taking and minute writing.
Experience in a democratic services environment.
Desirable qualifications/experience you will have:
Administration qualification e.g. NVQ.
Relevant professional qualification.
Local Authority experience
