The role
We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Casual Marketing Assistant to support promotional activity at The Woodville Theatre. This is a flexible, hands-on role where no two days are the same—perfect for someone who enjoys working across digital marketing, live events, and community engagement.
You’ll support the Marketing and Communications Officer to deliver lively, innovative, and far-reaching campaigns. From managing social media channels and creating content, to helping deliver events and engaging with audiences, you’ll play a key role in promoting The Woodville’s diverse programme.
This role includes a mix of office-based and on-site work, including supporting events such as Woodville on Tour, festivals, exhibitions, and town centre promotions.
What you'll be doing:
Monitor and manage social media channels using Meta Business Suite.
Create engaging content and support the delivery of subscriber email campaigns.
Respond to customer enquiries across digital platforms.
Support marketing at events, exhibitions, and outreach activities.
Assist with poster displays, leaflet distribution, and in-person promotion.
Build and maintain relationships with online audiences and local partners.
Work closely with the Box Office team to promote shows, offers, and competitions.
Contribute ideas to support audience growth and business development.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
Creative and digitally confident, with experience managing social media accounts and creating content.
A strong communicator, comfortable engaging with customers both online and in person.
Organised and proactive, able to manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
A team player, who enjoys supporting events and working collaboratively.
Interested in arts, culture, and entertainment, with an understanding of the events industry.
Confident using IT systems, including social media platforms and basic marketing tools.
Experience in customer service, marketing, or promotional events is desirable.
