The Role

Are you organised, enthusiastic and ready to start your career in business administration?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Repairs Service, gain valuable hands-on experience, and work towards a recognised BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business administration.
Main responsibilities
You’ll provide vital administrative support to help keep our repairs service running smoothly. This will include
responding to enquiries, supporting customers, booking and scheduling repairs, and dealing with customer contact
effectively and courteously in line with the council’s policies and procedures.
You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by experienced colleagues, helping you develop confidence, workplace skills and a strong understanding of how a busy council repairs service supports local residents.
Maintaining council’s housing stock whilst being responsible to the Repairs Administration Manager supporting the team in tasks relating to DSO Building Management.
Essential qualifications/experience
Strong organisational skills, including managing tasks, keeping accurate records and working to agreed timescales.
Good attention to detail when updating systems, booking appointments and following council procedures.
Basic IT skills, including confidence using email, Microsoft Office and computer systems.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn, work as part of a team and adapt to the needs of a busy repairs service.
