Role – Senior Officer (Commissioning Services)
Location – GCHSCP, Commissioning Services, Commonwealth House, 32 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH
Contract Status – Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) for individuals with a keen interest in working within Commissioning, Contract Management and Procurement.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals who are interested in working in the commissioning, contract management and procurement of social care services. This role is multi-faceted, including working in partnership with colleagues across GCHSCP and providers of social care services across the Third and Independent Sectors. GCHSCP will benefit from recruiting individuals with a range of backgrounds and experience in respect of health and social care services and supports, and from individuals with procurement experience, who can contribute to the whole offering of commissioning, contracting and procurement at a time of significant change across health and social care.

Whilst experience of health and social care services is essential, experience from within complementary roles that support the work of health and social care will be considered. Team placement for successful applicants will be in any of the teams within Commissioning, Contracts, and Procurement noting that people move around and between teams based on business priorities.
Applicants must be educated to Scottish Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Level 8 or above OR demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the health and social care landscape, the criticality of social care commissioning along with evidence of continuous learning and development within work history.

These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
