The Opportunity

This is a temporary opportunity for an experienced Environmental Health Officer or Food Safety Officer to join the team on a 3-month basis to complete food hygiene inspections across the borough. This role will cover categories B/C/D/unrated/void /revisit and compliant inspections; candidates will be considered if they have experience as an EHO or if they have a relevant food hygiene inspection qualification and are competent under the Food Law Code of Practice.

There are likely to be approximately 80 inspections, with the contractor being engaged / paid on a ‘per inspection’ basis.

Candidates can come on site to complete inspections in several blocks; however, they must be available for the full 3 months as new inspections will be allocated during the assignment period.

The Experience You Will Bring Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health or relevant food hygiene inspection qualification and competent to undertake food hygiene inspections at the relevant risk ratings, under the Food Law Code of Practice.
