Casual Community Activity Leader

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who share our organisation’s values and behaviours to join our Community and Wellbeing Team on a casual basis. As a Community Activity Leader, you will lead on the delivery of high quality and fun community-based activities to improve residents’ health and wellbeing across the district.
Key summer activities involve the Council’s Play in the Park programme which visits green spaces all over the district, providing play equipment and games for families to enjoy free of charge.
As driving a transit van is an essential part of the role, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and meet the organisation’s motor insurance requirements to drive a Council vehicle for work purposes.
Experience of leading on the delivery of either sports, physical activity, arts, or cultural activities, is essential. Experience working with children and young people with SEND is desirable. Other examples of activities you might deliver include multi-sports, craft camps, after school clubs, day trips, and special events.
You will be part of a multi skilled and innovative team reporting to the Team Manager for Community Development and Wellbeing. Candidates should be enthusiastic, outgoing and have a passion for working with customers of all ages.
We are looking for individuals with availability across the year, during term-time and/or the school holidays, as well as evenings and occasional weekends; please give an indication of your availability on your application. Successful candidates will also have the ability to travel to various venues across the district.
