Apprentice - Paralegal
Epping Forest District Council
A new position has been created within our busy legal team for a Paralegal Apprentice.
The role – to support the Lawyers within Legal Services covering litigation, Property Law, data protection and Town and Country Planning. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in these areas of law, undertaking basic research, writing letters, responding to general enquiries, preparing court bundles, preparing straight forward Planning agreements and basic property transactions.
You will be someone with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade C (or 4)(including English and Maths) and 3 A ‘levels or equivalent with an interest in pursuing a legal career.
The successful candidate must be IT literate, enthusiastic and confident. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated, hardworking and a team player with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
You will be conscientious and committed to making a positive contribution to the work of the Council.
You will be supported to undertake the paralegal qualification whilst gaining invaluable on the-job experience.
The apprenticeship will be provided by either Cilex or BPP University (or similar provider).
