We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Revenue Assistant to join our busy Revenues team on a full-time, permanent basis.

While previous experience of Local Taxation or Benefits is not essential, knowledge of Council Tax, Business Rates and/or Benefits would be advantageous. More importantly, you will be an excellent communicator with a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

Applicants should possess five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above, including English and Mathematics.

Working within the Revenues team and reporting to the Revenue Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective customer service, dealing with telephone calls, emails and written correspondence relating to:

  • Council Tax and Business Rates
  • Local taxation registration, billing and collection
  • Benefits enquiries
  • General customer enquiries

The role also includes providing administrative support to the Property Inspector and assisting members of the public at the Revenues Welcome Space Hub.
