Primary Alternative Provision Co-ordinator - Term Time Only (39 weeks)

Soulbury Scale 20 - 23 - £74,704 - £78,859 (up to 3 SPA additional points available)

This is a rare opportunity to take a lead role in an innovative, multi-disciplinary, specialist SEMH support team. As the Primary Alternative Provision Co-ordinator, you will take a leading role in determining, overseeing and evaluating high quality intervention delivery in Onsite settings. You will have good supervisory experience.

As an empathic, sensitive and committed professional, you will be passionate about promoting trauma-informed understandings and practices to support Enfield primary school staff seeking to successfully include children experiencing social, emotional and mental health challenges. The Service plays a central role in the Council’s ambitions to promote trauma-informed understandings and practices in all Enfield schools through the Enfield Trauma-Informed Practice in Schools and Settings (E-TIPSS) strategic initiative. Trauma-informed understandings are central to the Service’s analytical approach to pupil’s challenging behaviour, You will play a central role in the development of trauma-aware school cultures, and in supporting schools to develop their implementation of Trauma-Informed Practices.

You will provide solution focused consultation to key school leadership and SEN/Inclusion lead school staff . You will be confident about delivering presentations to school staff, including professional development based learning.

You will be psychologically and emotionally robust, able to manage high levels of stress. You will be invested in maintaining your own wellbeing and supportive of the wellbeing of colleagues and of those you encounter through interventions You will be committed to team-working and effectively able to work collaboratively with a range of professionals, as well as with parents/carers.

You will be a highly organised, resourceful and open-minded person ready to uphold Enfield Council’s key behaviours of – Taking responsibility, Being open and honest, Ready to listen and learn, Committed to working together to find solutions.
