About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Strategic Property Consultant to join our team in the London Borough of Ealing. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to the council’s property strategy and asset management, ensuring that our property portfolio supports the borough’s long-term ambitions and delivers value for our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic property plans aligned with the council’s objectives and community needs.
  • Provide expert advice on property acquisitions, disposals, and portfolio optimisation.
  • Lead negotiations with external stakeholders including developers, tenants, and public sector partners.
  • Manage and monitor property performance to ensure efficient and effective use of assets.
  • Support regeneration and development initiatives that contribute to local economic growth.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice in property management.
  • Prepare detailed reports, business cases, and presentations for senior management and elected members.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments such as planning, finance, and legal services to deliver integrated property solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Property, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
  • Professional membership of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards membership is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in strategic property consultancy, asset management, or estate management within the public sector or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of property legislation, valuation, and market conditions in Greater London.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results within budget and timescales.
  • Proficient in preparing influential reports and presenting to senior leadership.
