An apprenticeship is a great way to develop new skills, knowledge and behaviours while gaining practical, on-the-job experience. As an apprentice at Ealing Council, you will receive full support throughout your programme, with the opportunity to progress to the next level upon successful completion*.
Are You Eligible?
To apply, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- You are a resident of the London Borough of Ealing (proof of residency will be required).
- You attended a school in the London Borough of Ealing or obtained valid GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) from an Ealing school within the last three years (evidence will be required).
- You attended a college in the London Borough of Ealing (college attendance will be verified).
- The London Borough of Ealing is your Corporate Parent (Care Leavers).
- You must be aged 16 or over, unless otherwise stated in the role profile.
- If you are currently in Year 11, you cannot begin an apprenticeship until August.
- You must hold a British or European passport or have Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK.
- You cannot undertake an apprenticeship in the same occupational area if you already hold an equivalent or higher-level qualification in that subject.
- You cannot apply if you have previously completed an apprenticeship with Ealing Council.
- Under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, you must declare any spent or unspent convictions. Some service areas may be unable to consider applications where cautions or convictions have been disclosed; however, many apprenticeship placements can still be considered where declarations are made.
As an apprentice, you will receive:
- A competitive salary above the London Real Living Wage.

To successfully secure an apprenticeship with Ealing Council, candidates will need to progress through four competitive stages, followed by pre-employment and reference checks.

Current Vacancy:
- Capital Project Management Apprentice.
The apprenticeship will be a Business Administration Level 3 standard with a bolt on project management module lasting up to 18 months.
To be offered progression to continue and develop with the service, the apprentice must pass their apprenticeship programme within the expected timeframe.
Please note:
Whilst applications from candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be accepted, applicants who already hold a Level 3, Level 4, degree-level or higher qualification may be subject to an additional suitability assessment. This is to ensure that the apprenticeship will provide significant new learning, skills and knowledge beyond their existing qualifications and experience.

Stage two: If you are short listed then you will be invited by email to attend our mandatory, Assessment Screening centre (ASC): On Wednesday 29th July, 9am registration at Ealing council for a 9.30am start, finish time of 2pm. If you are shortlisted from ASC, you will be notified by the end of the day and offered a free optional interview workshop on Thursday 30th July.
Stage three: Interviews and Practical Assessment:
Week commencing Monday 3rd August.
Stage four:
Offer to the successful candidate will be conditional upon satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks and confirmation of a start date.
