Job Summary:

Ealing Council have an exciting new opportunity for a  Sheltered Housing Officer  available on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm 35 Hours per week) in our Sheltered Housing Service.

Are you an experienced housing professional with a desire to help and support vulnerable and elderly tenants or are you currently working in a non-housing role, but have transferrable skills that you think would be beneficial to the Sheltered Housing service?

If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Whilst experience of working with older people/vulnerable adults is always beneficial, it is not an explicit requirement for the post.

In line with LB Ealing ethos of allowing staff to develop their careers, we in the Sheltered Team ae looking for staff members who have worked with a diverse clientele who are passionate in delivering a quality service and who embrace change.

The person should be able to demonstrate that they have transferable skills (or are willing to learn these on the job) and most importantly can deliver a service compassionately, putting the needs of the tenants first whilst respecting professional boundaries (promoting independence and not dependence).

In this rewarding role, you will build trusted relationships with tenants, identify support needs through proactive visits, and work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies to coordinate tailored support. . You will provide practical help and advice, contribute to safeguarding, and make sure residents can access the services they need to thrive in their homes and communities.
