Why Work for Ealing Council?
Ealing Council is proud to be a place where safeguarding excellence, professional curiosity and meaningful impact come together. We are committed to putting children at the centre of everything we do, and to creating the conditions in which professionals can do their best work, thrive, and influence lasting change.
The Safeguarding Review and Quality Assurance Service, where this Lead Child Protection Practitioner role sits, is a dynamic and innovative team of multidisciplinary, independent quality assurers. The service plays a critical role in strengthening safeguarding practice across the system, providing thoughtful challenge, high‑quality oversight and learning that drives sustainable outcomes for children and their families.
As a Lead Child Protection Practitioner, you will be part of a forward‑thinking service that values reflective practice, shared learning and professional integrity. You will contribute to an agile and creative learning environment where child‑focused innovation is actively encouraged, celebrated and embedded into everyday practice. We believe that learning is most powerful when it is collaborative, evidence‑informed and rooted in real experiences of children and families.
Working within Ealing’s Family First Partnership model and Multi‑Agency Child Protection Team, you will collaborate closely with partners across health, police and early help services to support confident decision‑making and timely, effective safeguarding responses. This is an opportunity not only to lead and influence practice, but to help shape the future of safeguarding through high‑quality assurance, challenge and system learning.
If you are motivated by making a difference, thrive in a fast‑paced and values‑driven environment, and want to be part of a council that genuinely invests in learning, innovation and professional excellence, Ealing Council offers a rewarding place to grow and lead.
