Environmental Health - Private Sector Housing Officer

You’ll be joining a team that is

Actively involved in national and London-wide pilot schemes, working with:
Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
MHCLG
Greater London Authorrity (GLA)
At the forefront of housing enforcement
Operating a large licensing scheme
Has extensive tribunal experience – you wont just read about enforcement, you’ll do it
Working hand-in-hand with an experienced in-house legal team, giving you support and credibility in complex cases.

A degree in Environmental Health, or registration as a Registered Housing Health Practitioner or Environmental Health Practitioner is essential, as well as a sound working knowledge of HHSRS.

The post holders will be highly motivated, flexible individuals, with excellent customer service skills, able to communicate with people at different levels as appropriate. You will be working with and supporting other team members with complex cases.

Benefits include flexible, hybrid working, 25 days annual leave increasing to 28 days after 5 years and 30 days after 10 years of continuous Local Government service.

This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract.
