Fixed term Full time for 24 months (we will consider 0.8 FTE) Ealing Council has an exciting new opportunity for a Programme Manager, Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Ealing, also known as ‘Evidence and Learning for Health’. This is a full-time, fixed term role for 24 months, working at the heart of an ambitious programme to strengthen how research and evidence are used to reduce health inequalities. Ealing Council’s vision is to improve the lives of our residents by building healthy and connected communities. The council is one of four London boroughs, and 30 across the UK, awarded £5 million by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to create the HDRC in Ealing. The HDRC is strengthening the capacity, partnerships and infrastructure needed to support meaningful research and evaluation on the building blocks of health, with stronger community involvement and a focus on tackling health inequalities. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced programme manager who is motivated by impact, collaboration and systems change. You will join a supportive and purpose-driven team working across local government, academic institutions, voluntary and community sector partners and national networks to embed research, evidence and learning into decision-making. The Programme Manager role The HDRC Ealing Programme Manager will provide senior programme management leadership for HDRC Ealing, working closely with the Programme Director and wider HDRC governance arrangements. You will play a central role in translating the vision for HDRC Ealing into a coherent, well-governed and deliverable programme of work. This includes coordinating programme plans, governance, finance, risk management, reporting, performance and partnership arrangements to support delivery of NIHR milestones and HDRC objectives. This role offers a strong blend of strategic influence and hands-on delivery. You will help ensure HDRC Ealing delivers impact locally, contributes to national learning, and builds a lasting legacy for how Ealing Council works with communities and partners to tackle health inequalities. Essential qualifications and experience include a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, evidence of continuous professional development, and PRINCE II or another comparable project management qualification.
