As an employer, Dover District Council is proud to provide a supportive, friendly and diverse working environment in which our employees can thrive. We have a team of enthusiastic employees, delivering services they are passionate about.
Dover Port Health Authority (DPHA) is the statutory Port Health Authority for the Port of Dover and the Channel Tunnel Frontier, responsible for safeguarding this critical border from (amongst other things) the introduction of potentially catastrophic diseases.
Our work at the frontline is of national and international biosecurity significance, earning widespread recognition for removing hundreds of tonnes of illegal products of animal origin destined for our shelves. Every check we carry out helps protect public and animal health, making a real and lasting difference every single day.
But to continue delivering this first-class service, we need more people. Could that be you?
We are seeking a proactive, energetic, and highly motivated Operations Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is driven by purpose. This is a unique opportunity to join a respected, forward-thinking team at the forefront of public, and animal protection, where your contribution will directly support critical work that safeguards us all.

In addition to your experience of managing financial information, you will have a positive and flexible attitude to change along with an excellent approach to customer service.
