The Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join our Housing and Projects team within the Finance department. The successful candidate will play a key role in budget setting, budget monitoring, and financial reporting, including the preparation of accounting entries that contribute to the annual Statement of Accounts. You will work closely with budget managers, providing financial support, guidance, and challenge to help ensure effective financial management and informed decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a broad range of technical finance skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Who We Are Looking For 

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised with an eye for detail and accuracy. 

You do not need to tick every box, if you have strong analytical skills and enjoy working with financial systems, we want to hear from you. 

You’ll bring: 

  • Experience in a finance environment
  • A proven ability to learn new financial systems 
  • Clear communication skills, especially when supporting colleagues who aren’t finance specialists 
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines 
  • A positive, team‑focused approach and a willingness to learn 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), English and Maths (desirable)

Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a Basic DBS checks as part of their pre-employment clearances.
