The Role & Responsibilities:  

We are looking for a Technical Support Officer to work within our Development Management and Building Control team, reporting to the Technical Support Team Leader. You will provide a wide range of administrative and technical support. You will play a key role as part of the team, contributing to the smooth daytoday operation of the services and providing high quality, customer focused services in a fast-paced environment.  

The role will involve working on a range of applications and the associated tasks to process these - including validation, calculating fees, advising customers, answering enquiries and data entry. You will have experience of working in an administrative role and managing workloads, along with the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines. You will need to take an enthusiastic approach and show genuine commitment to all functions of work and professional development. 

Who We Are Looking For 

We are looking for an organised, adaptable and proactive individual with strong administrative skills and an interest in supporting Development Management and Building Control Services. 

We are looking for someone with strong written and verbal communication skills, who can build positive relationships and a competent ICT user with the ability to learn new systems quickly. 

This role will be based at the Dover District Council Offices at Whitfield in Kent. We currently operate a hybrid working model, where your working time could be divided between the office and remote working.
